Benewake has launched the solid-state NOVA20 line-array LiDAR for near-field tasks in embodied and mobile robots.

NOVA20 uses 20 detection channels and a 40° fan-shaped field of view to add range information close to the robot, complementing a sensor that scans farther away.

The module has no moving parts and is approximately 25 mm × 21 mm × 14 mm in its typical form. Its weight is below 5 g and average power is below 1 W; mounting, reflectivity, ambient light, and control logic still require system validation.
